Catcher In The Rye

The book is kind of slow. It just isn't as fast moving as I would like it to be. On the other hand though, I love how it is written. For some reason it interests me. Salinger did a great job writing this book and creating the characters. Holden is a very complicated person. It may sound weird but he reminds me of myself. I am no where near as depressing, but I have the same way of thinking. He kind of sorts things in his head like I do. So, so far the book is ok, it just needs to pick up=]

    You are a bit of a Holden. :)
    I think part of the relatability and success of this book for so long stems from the fact that JD Salinger was able to clearly capture the teenage mind, or at lease one in which his audiences bought into.
