Catcher In The Rye

The book is kind of slow. It just isn't as fast moving as I would like it to be. On the other hand though, I love how it is written. For some reason it interests me. Salinger did a great job writing this book and creating the characters. Holden is a very complicated person. It may sound weird but he reminds me of myself. I am no where near as depressing, but I have the same way of thinking. He kind of sorts things in his head like I do. So, so far the book is ok, it just needs to pick up=]

For the most part they are all pretty much similar. There are tiny differences, but main ideas remain the same. Out of everything that we have done, I disliked the movie more than anything. When I read I picture things a certain way, and the movie just didn't live up to my expectations. The interview definitely helped me though, it showed me more of an understanding for Morrie. I can't wait to finish the book! (In a good way=] )

Morrie's Interview!

I love reading Tuesdays with Morrie. Morrie is so selfless, it amazes me. At first I thought the book was fictional and it seemed unreal too, until I saw the interview. It was nice knowing someone could create such a great, personal character, but it wasn't just some made up person. Morrie Schwartz was a real man! I feel so bad for him knowing he is just detearating away.

The most special thing about him though, is he doesn't feel bad for himself. I don't ever think I could ever be strong enough not to feel sorry for myself. He just keeps on living like nothing is wrong, and he doesn't want anyone elses lives changing for him. Morrie is just happy knowing that his life was good and he is surrounded by love. This is a great man and I inspire to be more like him.
